we work in partnership with other agencies on projects forwhich they have responsibility to add value and support

Partnerships

Committee for Ballarat’s achievements are of two broad types: projects initiated and run by the Committee (for example Leadership Ballarat & Western Region); and projects developed or run in partnership with other groups (for example lobbying to secure funding for the Deer Park Bypass and the Ballarat leg of the Goldfields Superpipe.)

Committee for Ballarat has a proud record of initiating projects and lobbying for their achievement. When another agency will have major responsibility for a project, our strong preference is to work in partnership with them, playing a team member role and adding value to their capacity to ‘build’ the infrastructure (which we don’t normally undertake) to deliver a big project.

We will participate in projects where there is future-oriented economic, material and social benefit for Ballarat and the region.

We will seek respectful recognition of our role in the project and, when the project becomes self-sustaining without our ongoing participation, move on to other priorities.
