Committee for Ballarat will welcome Michael Poulton as its new CEO on 1 July.
Deputy Chair Rodney Walton said Mr Poulton was selected from a strong field of candidates and he is excited about what Michael will bring to the role. “Michael is an experienced leader who has genuine passion for the region.”
Mr Walton said Michael is well known and highly respected in the community. “The Board is confident that Michael will provide strong leadership based on authenticity and integrity.”
Mr Poulton’s background in leadership development and stakeholder engagement makes him a great fit for leading Committee’s agenda. He brings significant experience gained in the education, corporate and sporting sectors as well as a long history of community involvement, having held positions on local Boards and associations.
Mr Poulton said he will be focused on building relationships to continue to generate energy for Committee’s work across the region. “I’m looking forward to engaging with members about their priorities and working closely with key partners and stakeholders to maintain the momentum in influencing and driving a long-term vision for Ballarat and the region,” he said.
