Not-for-profit organisations working in areas of food and housing security, school readiness and youth success will be available to apply for financial assistance through the Ballarat Foundation’s Collective Impact Grants program (CIGP), which opened on 11 June.
The CIGP is one of two annual grant programs delivered by the Ballarat Foundation and its affiliate organisation, United Way Ballarat. They aim to break the cycle of disadvantage within the Ballarat and its surrounding local government areas.
The CIGP distributes grants of up to $10,000 to community groups with projects or programs impacting on at least one of the Ballarat Foundation's four key pillars of school readiness, youth success, secure housing, and food security.
With funds being made available through generous community donations to the Ballarat Foundation and the United Way’s Community Fund, this grants program is made possible by the generosity of the community. Last year almost $100,000 was granted to 16 local organisations.
Applying for a grant will be a straightforward process via the website of the Ballarat Foundation and will be open until Monday 2 July, with successful applicants to be notified in early August.
